Mrs. Alison Parrott
This is my 15th year teaching 6th graders, and I am excited to return to Fruitland Middle School for my 6th year!
I want 6th grade to be an especially positive and memorable experience for each of my students. My favorite thing about teaching is learning new ways to help my students grow and learn, as well as finding new ways to effectively communicate with kids in the 21st century.
I was born and raised in Northern California. I took a 7-year detour in sales before having a traumatic boat accident that motivated me to follow my dream of joining the rewarding field of education. I am so glad that I followed my heart! I earned a Bachelor's degree in Communications from California State University in Sacramento in 2003 and a Master's degree in Elementary Education from the University of Phoenix in 2005. I hold K-8 multiple-subject teaching credentials in two states. I am so grateful for my decision to relocate my family to the great state of Idaho in 2015! We love it here!
I have been married for over 13 years and am a proud mother of a 11-year-old daughter and a 7-year-old son. I enjoy learning and teaching, serving God and others, spending time with my family and pets, reading non-fiction, attending musical theater, playing the piano, and coaching FIRST Lego League robotics teams. I enjoy actively serving the wonderful people in our Fruitland community and building great relationships with parents and students. When teachers and parents work together, students benefit greatly!
Thank you, parents, for all you do for your children and for our staff at Fruitland Middle School!
